CLOSED: Request for expressions of interest: DWM Project Manager

Applications are now invited for a suitably qualified Tuvaluan Citizen to fill one vacant position of a Project Manager within the Department of Waste Management.


Coordination, monitor and manage all waste-related project activities on time within budget and scope provided. Provide summary on project budget, activities progress, update and recommendations.



  • Ensure that all waste-related project activities are delivered on-time, within the scope and within the allocated budget
  • Assist and guide relevant officers and key stakeholders who closely associated with the project to actively participate and contribute to the execution of project activities on set timelines.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation of each project
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project cost using appropriate verification techniques
  • Regular reporting to project management unit nationally, regionally and internationally with clear correspondences, briefing and update to the head of the department
  • Measure all projects progress, performance, gaps and recommendations to improve through appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with project key stakeholders as well as other concern staff members.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals of each project.
  • Travel to project location (outer islands) to physically assess the progress and the level of achievement and reliable of each activity delivered.
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process map to document needs and ease of reporting.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the head of the department from time to time



  • At least a Diploma in management or other related fields.
  • At least one year of related experience
  • Speak and write both in Tuvaluan and English
  • Healthy and energetic
